News For the Week

The Lunch Bunch (all are invited) to meet at the church parking lot to travel to Johnny Rays in Fallston for

Lunch this Wednesday, August 27. We will meet at the church at 11:00 AM and car pool to Fallston, if you would

like to meet us there we will be at Johnny Rays by 11:30 AM. We are still planning a trip to Sims Country

Barbeque in the Fall when the weather is a little cooler.

Special Worship on August 31: This will be the Fifth Sunday and we are blessed to have a wonderful music

group from the Wesleyan Church: Day Star will be playing music during the 10:30 AM Worship Service. Make

your plans now to be here that day, immediately following the Worship Service we will have a

Fellowship Time in the Narthex with heavy hors d'oeuvres and time to visit with each other.

Sacristy Schedule – You can pick up your copy of the new 2025-2026 Sacristy Schedule in the Sacristy!

St. John’s Lutheran Church Crystal Lovingood Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Friday,

September 5 at Deer Brook Golf Course in Shelby. Shotgun Start at 1:00 pm. The cost will be $70.00 per person

and you will be able to purchase two mulligans for $5.00 each. Lunch will be provided at Noon! If you would

like to sponsor a hole the cost will be $100.00. Please contact Kim Eaker, Bill Lovingood or Barbara McDaniel

to sign up to play or sponsor a hole! We will be selling half and half tickets for $10.00.
